NSF In-School Program
Septa Police visits Fitz Simons School
A great man once said, “Locking people up is not the sole answer, we must provide effective intervention and prevention programming along with reform and rehabilitation methods to help individuals grow and develop in a positive manner.” Former Commissioner Sylvester Johnson, 2008.
Since 2007, NSF Project Build Up visits schools in our community with Law Enforcement Agencies and other companies to empower, educate, support, encourage and motivate youth in many topics such as: Education, SMART Choices for your future, the dangers of Drugs & Alcohol & Tobacco, Violence, Guns & the Consequences, overcoming Peer Pressure, Domestic Violence, Respect, Life/Car Insurance, Financial stability, Conflict Resolution, Abstinence, Healthy Relationships and Future Careers Goals just to name a few. To strengthen our impact it is our belief that the follow up in the community is just as important as the in-school program. We have designed this model as an investment in our youth & our city’s future
